For years, we have been told that kibble is the only way to feed a dog. While some kibbles may be better than others, we see some common issues. Kibble is highly processed, manufactured in a way that strips the meal of its nutrients. Most kibbles contain too much starch. Unfortunately, it is cheaper for companies to use starchy carbs as fillers, not high quality protein or produce. Synthetic vitamins are added to balance the recipe to standards, but long term use may be harmful.
We ensure the highest quality! All meats used in our recipes are responsibly sourced, and all produce is organic. We rotate flavors based upon what's in season, since we know it tastes better. We only use foods that are species appropriate and safe, gently cooked in our small kitchen. All meals are made to order & we make sure they arrive fresh to your door.
We use a special formulator tool when creating each recipe. Each one contains different, healthy ingredients, but all recipes are balanced to AAFCO standards.
While we only use fresh, safe foods, it is not uncommon for a dog transitioning from kibble to fresh food to get a tummy ache. Symptoms can include mild diarrhea, mucus in stools, and drinking less water. These are all considered normal during the transition period, and will ease over time as your dog "detoxes" from their previous food. If you have any concerns, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian.
We recommend the following transition schedule to ease those tummy troubles: Days 1-3 75% kibble, 25% fresh. Days 4-7 50% kibble, 50% fresh. Days 8-11 25% kibble, 75% fresh. Days 12 + transition complete.
Yes! All meals come portioned and ready to serve. We do not recommend microwaving our meals, as overheating can occur. If your dog prefers their food warm, just pour some warm water on top of it.
